We're the open-air beer garden at GW's BBQ — 107 N Nebraska Ave (Rear), San Juan, TX 78589, in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley.
What are your hours?
Thursday–Saturday 6 PM–Midnight and Sunday 11 AM–4 PM. Closed Monday–Wednesday.
Do you have live music?
Yes — live music on our outdoor stage under the oaks. Bands, duos, and solo acts can submit a booking request here.
What's on tap?
16 beers on tap — American classics (Miller Lite, Coors, Michelob Ultra), imports (Corona Premier, Modelo Oro, Dos Equis), and Texas craft (Shiner Bock, Lone Star, Karbach Love Street, and 5x5 Brewing's Blonde Bombshell & Vaqueros IPA, brewed in Mission, TX), plus Blue Moon and Angry Orchard cider. Available in 16 oz or 24 oz pours, with beer flights and buckets too. Ask what's pouring tonight.
Is there food?
Yes — our Beer Garden Eats menu has smoked wings, brisket nachos, flatbreads, the new Post Oak Burger and more, straight from the GW's BBQ pit (2026 James Beard Award semifinalist and Texas Monthly Top 50).
Do I need a reservation?
Walk-ins are always welcome — just come on by and grab a table in the garden.
Is Post Oak 21 and up?
All ages are welcome in the garden, but you must be 21+ to be served alcohol. Please bring a valid ID.
